The Rationale Behind EPSAACCI

EPSAACCI, as a non-governmental organisation, was borne out of ideas and necessity with the view of joining other local and foreign frontiers and governmental organisations to provide physical and educational support and service deliveries to our local communities that can help to protect our local environment from harmful and injurious activities for human safety and development and to further engage in sustainable actions. We aim to address the impacts of climate change on our local environment, fostering resilience, implementing adaptable strategies, and enhancing human development potential. Simultaneously, the use of ostentatious and unwholesome land for socio-economic and political development contributes to climate change and its aftermath in our communities. The effects are getting much more severe faster than expected.

It’s no longer news that climate change is real. We have no other planet to live on if we do not find solutions to the devastating effects of the unwholesome consequences brought by climate change to human habitat, such as prolonged drought, desertification, extensive and intense heat due to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, depletion of the ozone layer, excessive ray impasse, excessive rainfalls, flash flooding, melting of Iceland, soil infertility, shortage of agricultural produce and products, low air quality sickness and malnutrition, high earthly temperature, famine, insecurity, and many others are linked to climate change problems. Unimproved domestic and industrial waste disposals, improper land-use planning, indiscriminate land-use change, illegal oil exploration and natural resource mining, surface and underground water pollution, indiscriminate infusion of chemicals, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons in the air, deforestation, overgrazing, bush burning, littering of polytetrafluoroethylene materials, and many other factors responsible for environmental and climate change problems trigger the curses of these climate change effects on our environment These factors have the potential to jeopardize human existence on our planet. It’s imperative to note that whatever you give to the environment is what the environment gives in return. However, it’s noble to explore and exploit our environment with sustainable consciousness in mind as we formulate and develop issues along the lines of socio-economic and political gain. As a result, we should encourage sustainable development that guarantees human safety and economic development that curbs or ameliorates the effects of climate change on our communities.
